Nilphamari District

Police in a special drive arrested 16 leaders and cadres of JeI-ICS from different places in Nilphamari District on charge of planning subversive activities in the areas.

Gaibandha District

14 JeI-ICS leaders and cadres were arrested in Gaibandha District in a case filed in connection with the murder of AL MP Manjurul Islam Liton.

Chittagong District

Police arrested 11 cadres of ICS while holding a secret meeting at a hostel of Eden School and College in Mohammadpur area of Chittagong District.

Police arrested a cadre of ICS from South Shibrampur village in Gaibandha District in connection with the killing Manzurul Islam Liton.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said that Manjurul Islam Liton was killed for resisting JeI-ICS. She said JeI-ICS had been making constant attempts to kill him as he put up resistance against the evil force.

Rajshahi District

Four cadres of ICS were arrested from Shaheed Habibur Rahman Hall of Rajshahi University in Rajshahi District for conducting subversive activities. The arrestees are Abu Jafar, Saiful Islam, Enamul Islam and Abdul Alim.

Eight cadres of ICS were arrested when they were holding a meeting at Retina Coaching Centre in Rangpur city of Rangpur District.

Five cadres of ICS were arrested from a madrasa at Chandpur village in Bogra District while they were allegedly planning subversive activities.

Police arrested four cadres of JeI-ICS at Koroi Krishi College in Joypurhat District when they were planning to carry out subversive activities. Police recovered eight Molotov cocktails, two crude bombs and 300 grams of gunpowder.

In Lalmonirhat District's Kaliganj area, Police arrested a leader of ICS who is wanted in a sabotage case. He was identified as Hasanul Haque Banna (28), president of the Hatibandha unit of ICS.

Police arrested 65 leaders and cadres of ICS for plotting subversive activities from Kushtia District. Police recovered 20 hand bombs, 17 radical books and party documents from their possessions.

Police arrested 20 leaders and cadres of ICS with Jihadi books from different dormitories in Nawdapara area of Rajshahi District accused in a case filed under the anti-terrorism law.

Police arrested seven leaders and activists of ICS at Fenchuganj in Sylhet District. Police recovered many leaflets and books that directed the activists to carry out suicidal attacks on the 'enemies of Islam'

Police arrested five cadres of JeI-ICS from different areas of Jhenidah District. Police said all of the arrestees were accused in a number of cases filed with different Police Stations.

Noakhali District

In Noakhali District, Police arrested nine cadres of ICS for terrorist activities.

Police arrested 14 cadres of ICS at KUET's cafeteria in Khulna District for plotting subversive activities. Police recovered 10 laptops and some jihadi books from them.

Police arrested Mesbahul Haque, a leader of ICS from Matikata union in Rajshahi District. Police recovered a revolver and five bullets from him.

Police arrested four cadres of ICS from a house in Brahmanpara upazila of Comilla District when they were holding a clandestine meeting. The arrestees are Shahin Alam (27), Ishak Bhuiyan, (24) Hizbullah (18), and Omar Faruk (22).

Police arrested seven leaders of ICS when they attempted to conduct subversive activities in Lalmonirhat District. Police recovered five petrol bombs, local weapons and radical books from their possessions.

Police arrested 13 cadres of ICS in Chandlai-Baganpara area of Chpainawabganj District. Police recovered 800 grams of gunpowder and 122 jihadi books from them.

Dhaka city

Police arrested 25 cadres of JeI-ICS in the capital Dhaka city's Panthapath area. 16 computers and some books were recovered from them.

Chapainawabganj District

Police arrested 30 cadres of JeI-ICS from Arambagh in Chapainawabganj District when they were holding a secret meeting. Police also recovered a laptop and some jihadi books from them.

Police arrested two cadres of ICS in Narayanganj District for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Facebook. The arrestees are Jasimuddin (33) and Mehedi Hasan (20).

Police arrested five cadres of JeI-ICS in Moheshkhali of Cox's Bazar District when they were holding secret meeting. Police recovered four local pistols, six bullets and four machetes from them.

Police arrested six cadres of ICS while they were holding a meeting at Satcom Park of Bogra District. The arrestees are Shahadat Hossain (20), Nahid Hasan (21), Masud Rana (23), Monirul Islam (20), Aslam Ali (21) and Nazmul Hossain (21).

Narayanganj District

Police arrested 43 cadres of JeI-ICS at a Chinese restaurant in Narayanganj District. Police recovered jihadi books, leaflets and banners from them.

Dhaka city

CTTC chief Monirul Islam said that former cadres of ICS are leading the Neo-JMB. He said "Aslam Hossain Rashed alias Rashedul Islam alias Rash joined Neo-JMB with the help of ICS leader Shariful Islam Khaled. Rashed was very close to Neo-JMB leader Tamim Chowdhury. After Tamim's death, Rashed hoped to get a senior position in Neo-JMB but was disappointed. Now, there are two Neo-JMB factions. Ayub Bachchu is the current chief of Neo-JMB. Rashed stayed away from him and later decided to run operations on his own."

Cadres of ICS hacked two activists of BCL, critically injuring them in Sylhet District. BCL city unit general secretary Abdul Alim Toshar claimed that the ICS cadres launched the attack to establish dominance in the Jalalabad College area.

12 ICS cadres were arrested from Shaheed Suhrawardy Hall of Rajshahi University. Many Jihadi books and some organisational documents were also seized from their rooms.

Police arrested a leader of ICS involved in subversive acts in Bagerhat District. The arrestee is District ICS President Shamim Ahsan (32).

Kushtia District

Police arrested two cadres of ICS from Saddam Hossain Hall at Islamic University in Kushtia District. Police recovered 16 petrol and crude bombs and some bomb-making materials from them.

Dhaka city

Police officials said JeI-ICS is using "get expelled strategy" to join Neo-JMB to carry out terror attacks across Bangladesh.

Four cadres of ICS were arrested while they were holding a clandestine meeting on the Islamic University campus in Kushtia District. Police recovered some bombs, jihadi books and some illegal mobile SIM cards from their possession.

Over the last decade, pressured by limited political space, many leaders of JeI-ICS have been joining the AL and its front organizations. With the 11th parliamentary election on the horizon, many AL leaders fear that JeI-ICS cadres who have already infiltrated the party may join subversive activities.

A court in Chittagong District sentenced Nasir Uddin alias Shibir Nasir, a cadre of ICS to five years and three months jail in a case filed with Kotwali Police Station in 1998 for an attack on Police.

Police arrested the RUET unit President of ICS on the campus in Rajshahi District for planning subversive activities. The arrestee is identified as Mohamad Nasir Uddin.

Five cadres of ICS were arrested in Hatibandha upazila of Lalmonirhat District while they were preparing to conduct sabotage.

Police in Jhalakathi District arrested a cadre of ICS for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and posting an objectionable photo on Facebook.
