Police arrested four cadres of JeI-ICS at Koroi Krishi College in Joypurhat District when they were planning to carry out subversive activities. Police recovered eight Molotov cocktails, two crude bombs and 300 grams of gunpowder.

In Lalmonirhat District's Kaliganj area, Police arrested a leader of ICS who is wanted in a sabotage case. He was identified as Hasanul Haque Banna (28), president of the Hatibandha unit of ICS.

Police arrested two cadres of ICS in Narayanganj District for allegedly making derogatory remarks about Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Facebook. The arrestees are Jasimuddin (33) and Mehedi Hasan (20).

Police arrested five cadres of JeI-ICS in Moheshkhali of Cox's Bazar District when they were holding secret meeting. Police recovered four local pistols, six bullets and four machetes from them.

CTTC chief Monirul Islam said that former cadres of ICS are leading the Neo-JMB. He said "Aslam Hossain Rashed alias Rashedul Islam alias Rash joined Neo-JMB with the help of ICS leader Shariful Islam Khaled. Rashed was very close to Neo-JMB leader Tamim Chowdhury. After Tamim's death, Rashed hoped to get a senior position in Neo-JMB but was disappointed. Now, there are two Neo-JMB factions. Ayub Bachchu is the current chief of Neo-JMB. Rashed stayed away from him and later decided to run operations on his own."

Cadres of ICS hacked two activists of BCL, critically injuring them in Sylhet District. BCL city unit general secretary Abdul Alim Toshar claimed that the ICS cadres launched the attack to establish dominance in the Jalalabad College area.

With the 11th parliamentary election on the horizon, many AL leaders fear that JeI-ICS cadres who have already infiltrated the party may join subversive activities.

A court in Chittagong District sentenced Nasir Uddin alias Shibir Nasir, a cadre of ICS to five years and three months jail in a case filed with Kotwali Police Station in 1998 for an attack on Police.
