Goa Police arrested Sambu Beck
(25), a top Naxal (Left Wing Extremist) leader of Maowadi Trishul
Manch (MTM) wanted by Orissa Police. Beck was found staying in
a rented place at Mapusa town, about 10 kilometers away from the
State capital Panaji. Teams of crime branch and anti narcotic
cell raided several places in Old Goa and Bhoma villages and arrested
17 more people from Orissa who had given shelter to Beck. However,
16 of them were released subsequently.
