Maoist courier arrested in Telangana

The Charla Police arrested one Madivi Pinnu alias Srinu (30) of Pouruguda in Bijapur District of Chhattisgarh, on charge of acting as a courier for Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres from Charla tehsil (revenue unit) of Khammam District on October 11, reports The Hindu. The Police said they held him during a vehicle checking drive while he was travelling on a bicycle at Lenin Colony in Charla mandal (administrative division). A consignment of medicines valued at INR 10,000 meant for the Maoists based in the neighbouring State was seized from his possession, Police said.
