Grenades used in gruesome attack in 2004 supplied by brother of BNP Deputy Minister, says Chief Prosecutor

Syed Rezaur Rahman, chief prosecutor in its arguments in the August 21, 2004 grenade attack case on November 13 said the grenades that were used in the gruesome attack in 2004 had been supplied by Maulana Tajuddin, brother of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Deputy Minister Abdus Salam Pintu, reports New Age. Earlier, the prosecution in their arguments on November 8 had said a total of five local and foreign extremist outfits were involved in the grisly attack. A total of 24 Awami League (AL) leaders and workers including the then Mahila AL President and wife of the late president Zillur Rahman, Ivy Rahman, were killed and 500 others were injured.
