Two CoBRA jawans injured in IED blast triggered by CPI-Maoist in Odisha

Two troopers of Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) were injured in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) blast triggered by Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) cadres in Malkangiri District on November 13, reports News Nation. The incident took place in the Chitrakonda forest when the joint Security Forces (SFs) including Odisha Police and CoBRA (a specialised unit jungle warfare unit of Central Reserve Police Force, CRPF) were on sanitization operation. According to sources, a joint operation was launched on early hours of November 13, after Odisha Police received intelligence inputs regarding Naxal [Left Wing Extremism (LWE)] leaders from various zones gathering at Chitrakonda forest area, to corner the Maoists.
