Peace Committee member killed by TTP in FATA

Ali Mohammad, a Peace Committee member, was killed by Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) militants in Daggar village of Chagmalai region in South Waziristan Agency of Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) on December 6, reports Daily Times. According to local media, TTP claimed the attack with the spokesman of the militantís outfit warning that they would continue to target members of the Peace Committee. 

Separately, Security Forces (SFs) recovered rockets, improvised explosive devices (IEDs), and ammunition of various types in South Waziristan and Bajaur Agencies on December 6, reports The Nation. 

In a separate incident, SFs recovered a bomb along the wall of Government Primary School in Jamrud tehsil (revenue unit) of Khyber Agency on December 6, reports The Nation. The bomb was later defused by the Bomb Disposal Squad (BDS) Personnel.
