TTP threatens local politicians of attack in NWFP

The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Lakki Marwat chapter on February 8 threatened local politicians of attack for their alleged involvement in protecting feudal lords and creating law and order problem in the Lakki Marwat District of North West Frontier Province (NWFP), according to The News. A leaflet circulated by the TTP in Lakki City and Naurang bazaar stated that the political figures including former provincial minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader Anwar Kamal Khan Marwat, former Member of National Assembly (MNA) and joint candidate for by-election Naseer Muhammad Khan Maidadkhel and Aslam Khan Issakhel had adopted various tactics to defend "khanism" (feudalism) in the District.
