that
Security
Forces
(SFs)
in
an
encounter
killed
a
militant
of
the
Karbi
People’s
Liberation
Tigers
(KPLT)
and
injured
two
others
in
an
area
under
Bokolia
Police
Station
in
Karbi
Anglong
District
on
March
30.
SFs
also
arrested
three
KPLT
militants
after
the
encounter
along
with
two
AK-56
automatic
rifles,
one
.76
revolver
and
some
extortion
notes.
Meanwhile,
suspected
militants
of
Anti-Talks
faction
of
United
Liberation
Front
of
Asom
(ULFA-ATF)
hurled
a
grenade
targeting
the
convoy
of
vehicles
carrying
Border
Security
Force
(BSF)
personnel
at
Dudhnoi
in Goalpara
District,
reports
Times
of
Assam.
However,
no
casualty
was
reported.
Further,
SFs
recovered
an
unexploded
grenade
from
the
premises
of
Mathuranagar
Police
Station
in
Sivasagar
District,
reports
The
Times
of
India.
The
Telegraph
adds
that
suspected
ULFA-ATF
militants
had
hurled
the
grenade
on
March
29.
Separately,
SFs
arrested
two
arms
carrier
from
Sonapur
area
in
Guwahati
city.
SFs
identified
the
duo
as
Shwmdwn
Daimary
of
Chirang
District
and
Shubash
Rai.
SFs
recovered
two
German
Heckler
and
Koch
rifles
and
a
large
amount
of
ammunition
from
the
duo's
possession.
The
Police
believe
that
arms
and
ammunition
were
for
Meghalaya
based
Garo
National
Liberation
Army
(GNLA)
