A 'regional leader' of the Janajuddha faction
of
the
Purba
Banglar
Communist
Party
(PBCP)
was
killed
during
an
encounter
with
the
police
in
Jhenidah
on
April
13,
reports
Daily
Star.
Two
policemen
were
injured
in
the
incident.
The
slain
extremist
was
identified
as
Rezaul Islam alias Razu of Chandipur village. He was arrested on April 12 from Lakhmikol village and had been taken to the encounter site
for
recovery
of
firearms.
Two
bombs
and
a
firearm
with
two
bullets
were
recovered
subsequent
to
the
encounter.
