Kanglaonline reports that a 54-year-old
man identified as Mesang Angkha was shot dead
by suspected National Socialist Council of
Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) militants at
Chandokpokpi under Chandel Police station
on April 13.
Meanwhile, Security Forces raided a house
in Phungreitang West in Ukhrul District and
seized a country made pistol in the night
of April 12, reports Nagaland Post. 
Sources said the illegal arms belong to one
Ngashanpam Haorei of Khamasom Khayangkho village,
who reportedly had a deal with some miscreants.
Separately, Assam Rifles detained five
Myanmar nationals entering Manipur territory
without valid documents and handed over to
the Tengnoupal Police of Chandel District
on April 13. They are identified as Ngamlen
(19), Lamkhangmang (32), Dongsei (23), Mangkhanthang
(29) and Ningjalen (19), all residents of
Khumounom in Tamu District of Myanmar.
Also, the
Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP),
on April 14, celebrated its 32nd anniversary
and greeted the people on the occasion even
as three factions of the group have decided
to unite together and work under a single
umbrella, reports Kanglaonline. |
