Suspected NSCN-IM militants kill a civilian in Manipur

Kanglaonline reports that a 54-year-old man identified as Mesang Angkha was shot dead by suspected National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) militants at Chandokpokpi under Chandel Police station on April 13.

Meanwhile, Security Forces raided a house in Phungreitang West in Ukhrul District and seized a country made pistol in the night of April 12, reports Nagaland Post.  Sources said the illegal arms belong to one Ngashanpam Haorei of Khamasom Khayangkho village, who reportedly had a deal with some miscreants.

Separately, Assam Rifles detained five Myanmar nationals entering Manipur territory without valid documents and handed over to the Tengnoupal Police of Chandel District on April 13. They are identified as Ngamlen (19), Lamkhangmang (32), Dongsei (23), Mangkhanthang (29) and Ningjalen (19), all residents of Khumounom in Tamu District of Myanmar.

Also, the Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP), on April 14, celebrated its 32nd anniversary and greeted the people on the occasion even as three factions of the group have decided to unite together and work under a single umbrella, reports Kanglaonline.
