The Times of India reports that the cadres
of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist)
set ablaze four tractors and three trolleys
in Keshori tehsil of Gondia District
on April 12. Around 50 Maoists intercepted
four tractors and three trolleys in the forest
patch between Rajoli and Keshori and set them
afire. The vehicles belonged to some residents
of Tadgaon and Junewani of Arjuni-Morgaon
tehsil and Navegaon Bandh.
Meanwhile, a pro-Maoist poster was found pasted
on the rear side of the board of Samasta Solapur
Bazaar Rickshaw Stand in Pune District on
April 15, reports Daily Bhaskar. The
poster read in Marathi, “Fight for the release
of Maoist revolutionaries who are incarcerated.
The corrupt, brutal, ruling classes who are
foreign agents are criminals for the Indian
masses. The government does not have any right
to jail them.” The poster demanded that comrades
Kobad Gandhi, Vijay, Vikram, Madalal, Mahesh,
Bhanu and Angela should be released without
any conditions. It called for a bandh
(shutdown strike) in Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh,
Andhra Pradesh and Odisha. The posters were
that of CPI-Maoist Maharashtra State Committee. |
