Bullet-riddled body of man found in Jammu and Kashmir

The Police on May 19 (today) recovered a bullet-riddled body of a 45-year-old man, identified as Mohammad Yousuf Lone who was reportedly working for both militants and Security Forces (SFs) in Gadoora village of Pulwama District, reports The Indian Express. The body had multiple bullet injuries, Police official said, adding that the Police was investigating the circumstances in which he was killed. Preliminary investigation has revealed that Lone was working as an over ground worker (OGW) for militants as well as a source for SFs, the official said. Further details are awaited, he added.

Meanwhile, three Policemen and a civilian were injured as militants hurled a grenade towards Police station in Safa Kadal in Srinagar on May 18, reports Daily Excelsior. A constable, two Special Police Officers (SPOs) and a civilian were injured in the grenade attack. “The injured were immediately rushed to the hospital. One SPO has received severe injuries in the attack and is currently being treated in the hospital,” a Police official said.
