Six
persons, including two political
activists, were killed in separate
acts of violence in Karachi on May
24, reports Daily Times.
Two Pakistan People’s Party (PPP)
activists, identified as Ghulam
Mustafa Khaskheli (28) and Khan
Afsar (45), were killed while two
others, Liaquat and Ajmal, were
injured in an attack on a PPP office
in Mawach Goth, located within the
limits of Saeedabad Police Station.
Separately,
two persons were killed in Ilyas
Goth, Liaquatabad C-1 area within
the limits of Super Market Police
Station. SHO SM Raza informed that
the casualties came as a result
of clash between two groups and
the victim had been associated with
the Arshad Pappu group. Police suspected
the hand of a rival group. One of
the victims was identified as Naeem
Baloch.
In
another incident, unidentified armed
militants attacked a passenger bus
at Teen Hatti area within the precincts
of Jamshed Quarters Police Station.
According to bus conductor Riaz,
two men came running and boarded
the bus. Soon after the two boarded
around three armed assailants arrived
and shot dead of them, identified
as Arif Baloch alias Mama
and injured another, identified
as Owais Baloch.
Elsewhere,
one Nasrullah (22), alias
Bihari, the son of a PPP worker
Moosa Khan was shot dead in Orangi
Town within the jurisdiction of
Pakistan Bazaar Police Station.
Station House Officer (SHO) Sabir
Khan said that victim was mentally
handicapped and was the younger
son of Moosa Bihari, a prominent
PPP activist from Orangi Town. |
