President yet to take decision on fresh election of Constitution Assembly

President Ram Baran Yadav is yet to take his decision on the Government announcement to conduct fresh election of the Constituent Assembly, following the unexpected demise of the Constitution Assembly (CA), reports Nepal News. President is set to consult with legal experts before taking the decision.

Meanwhile, Unified Communist Party of Nepal- Maoist (UCPN-M) chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal has described the Government’s decision to hold fresh election of the Constituent Assembly as “constitutional and democratic step taken out of compulsion, which is in line with the Supreme Court’s verdict”. He has also urged the parties to be ready for national consensus Government.
