Maharashtra Police to get training to deal with terror cases
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (UMHA) has asked the Maharashtra
Police to hold joint
training sessions
for personnel on
how to investigate
terror attacks,
according to The
Times of India.
"The state
anti-terrorism squad
is doing a good
job, but when newcomers
join, they don't
know head or tail
of a terror case.
The ATS has to train them for a couple of months. There are personnel who do not
even know what to
do immediately after
an attack, whether
to cordon the spot
off or not,"
said a source.
