At least one security
official was killed and another injured when a group
of militants attacked a check post in Wana, sub-division
of South Waziristan Agency in Federally Administered
Tribal Areas (FATA) on June 10 (today), reports The
Express Tribune. Official sources said that “heavy
weapons and ammunition were used” in the attack, confirming
that one security person was killed and one injured
as Security Forces (SFs) successfully repulsed the attack.
More casualties are feared.
