Five Naxalites [Left
Wing Extremists (LWEs)], including the one identified
as Laka Pahan, the 'area commander' of the People’s
Liberation Front of India (PLFI), a break away faction
of the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist),
were arrested from
Anidih village in Khunti District of Jharkhand on June
8, reports Daily Bhaskar. Laka Pahan is wanted
in over 20 naxal-related cases in Khunti and Ranchi
Districts, Inspector General of Police (IG) M S Bhatia
said. “Three guns, bullets, six mobile phones, ten sim
cards and INR 7000 were seized from their possession,"
the IG said. |
