Karbi Anglong
District,
reports
Nagaland

According
to a reliable
source,
the abductors
have placed
a demand
of INR 500,000
for his
release.
Meanwhile, Security forces (SFs) rescued one
abducted
labourer,
Dirkip Basumatery,
from Thekarajan
locality
at the foothills
of Singhason
range in
the same
District.
The labourer
was the
part of
18 laborers
[Disclosed
by the company
engaged
in construction
work on
June11]
who were
abducted
by suspected
Karbi People’s
Liberation
Tigers (KPLT)
militants
on June
10. Five
laborers
were released
on the same
day after
severe beating.
Elsewhere, the Central Government on June
12 signed
a draft
Memorandum
of Settlement
(MoS) with
the Dilip
Nunisa faction
of Dima
Halim Daogah
(DHD-N),
reports
Assam
Tribune.
The report
adds that
draft MoS
will now
be sent
to the State
Government
for approval
by the State
Cabinet.
