The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information Iftikhar Hussain on June 29, once again urged the Federal Government to shift detained Dr Shakeel Afridi to any other province owing to security threats to his life in Peshawar Central Jail, reports Daily Times. Talking to media persons, the Minister said that the Federal Government should shift its prisoner from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa as Bannu jail-like attacks could occur in other jails of the province. He said that there was a serious threat of attack on Peshawar jail due to Shakeel Afridi’s incarceration there.
