At a press conference
in Vizianagaram on July
11, Superintendent of
Police Karthikeya said
the Andhra-Odisha Boder
(AOB) Zonal Committee
and Srikakulam-Koraput
Joint Division Committees
of the Communist Party
of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist)
might have placed the
explosives to target the
Police. Further, Karthikeya
appealed to Maoists to
join mainstream.
