Maoist leader's son arrested along with two 'couriers' in Andhra Pradesh

[Khammam District] have claimed
that they have arrested Bandi
Kiran, a B.Tech student, and
the son of the Communist Party
of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist)
leader Bandi Prakash, and
two “couriers” of the outfit
under the Andhra Pradesh Public
Security Act, reports The
Hindu. Additional Superintendent
of Police (ASP) Gajarao Bhupal
said Kiran and two Maoist
couriers N. Venkat and Kamesh
were detained along with revolutionary
literature.
Meanwhile,
the first day of the two-day
bandh (shutdown strike)
of the Andhra-Odisha Border
(AOB) to protest against Operation
Green Hunt failed to evoke
any response in Visakhapatnam
District, reports IBN Live.
There were no untoward incidents
reported in any of the 11
mandals in the agency
area, Police said.
