Gram Panchayat pradhan arrested for providing shelter to Maoists in West Bengal

institution) in West Midnapore
District was arrested by the
Criminal Investigation Department
(CID) for providing shelter
to cadres of the Communist
Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist),
Police sources said on July
19, reports Business Standard.
Police arrested Keshore Mani
Hansda, sarpanch of
Kapgari gram panchayat
and member of the Jharkhand
Party (Naren) from the Jomsoro
village on July 18, the sources
said. The Police said Hansda
used to provide shelter to
Maoists in her house in Jomsoro.
