Chief Minister (CM) Omar Abdullah on July 3 termed as "fiction"
and
"imagination"
the
allegations
of All
Party
Hurriyat
Conference-Geelani
(APHC-G)
leader
Syed
Ali
Shah
Geelani
about
settling
RSS
and
Sangh
Parivar
members
in the
Valley
in the
garb
of return
of Kashmiri
Pandits,
reports
Daily
Excelsior.
"Glad
to see
SASG’s
(Syed
Ali
Shah
Geelani)
imagination
and
ability
to create
fiction
has
not
dulled
with
age,"
he wrote
on the
micro-blogging
site
twitter.Com
in response
to the
Hurriyat
leader’s
allegations.
Omar
dared
Geelani
to come
out
with
the
truth
about
his
stand
on the
return
of Kashmiri
Pandits."If
he wants
to oppose
Pandits’
return,
he should
say
so,"
the
CM said.

Geelani, at a press conference on July 2, claimed that the
Government
was
planning
to settle
RSS
and
Sangh
Parivar
members
in the
Valley,
in the
garb
of return
of Kashmiri
Pandit
migrants,
to change
the
demographics
of the
area.
He said
he was
not
against
return
of the
Pandits
but
urged
them
to go
to the
places
where
they
used
to live
before
migration.
Meanwhile, rift appears to be widening within APHC-Mirwaiz
(APHC-M)
with
several
leaders
seeking
reorganization
of the
amalgam
after
its
executive council
meet
was
postponed
on July
1, according
to Times
of India.
Mirwaiz
Umer
Farooq
had
postponed
the
meeting
citing
the
fire
that
gutted
Sufi
saint
Dastgeer
Sahib's
shrine
in Srinagar
on June
25.
Senior
APHC-M
leaders
like
Nayeem
Khan
refused
to believe
the
shrine
fire
led
to the
meeting's
cancellation.
He did
not
name
the
Mirwaiz
but
said,
"Some
leaders
avoid
to explain
their
stand
on certain
vital
issues
for
which
Hurriyat
conference
stands
for.
That
led
to the
meeting's
deferment."
But
another
leader
Shabir
Ahmad
Shah
said
the
meeting
will
be held
soon
to restructure
Hurriyat.
"The
meeting
will
be held
definitely,"
he said. |
