Maoists hoist black flag in Jamui District of Bihar

The Communist party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) hoisted a black flag instead of the Tricolour in the campus of the Government Middle School in Barmasia of Jhajha Township in Jamui District of Bihar on August 15, reports The Telegraph. Headmaster Sanjay Kumar said the Maoists had in a handwritten letter on August 14 asked him not to hoist the Tricolour on the campus to celebrate Independence Day. Superintendent of Police (SP) Upendra Sharma said Security Force personnel seized some black flags from the Sono and Chandramani areas.
