According
to the city's Police Commissioner
Gulab Rao Pol, the man who was
suspected to have carried one
of the four bombs that exploded
in Pune on August 1 night, and
was injured has been identified
as Dayanand Patil, a local tailor,
reports IBN Live. He is
a local resident and works as
a tailor in Junglee Maharaj Road.
Dayanand
Patil, who was injured in the
Balgandharva Rang Mandir, an auditorium
blast, was carrying a cake box
kept in a plastic bag, reports
The Hindu. He was admitted
to the Sassoon Hospital, where
the police recorded his evidence.
The Paper has also stated an unconfirmed
report that Mr. Patil was a member
of social activist Anna Hazare’s
India against Corruption movement
however, IAC coordinator Preeti
Sharma Menon denied it. Newly
appointed Union Home Minister,
Sushilkumar Shinde, was scheduled
to visit the city on August 1.
The visit was, however, cancelled
earlier in the day. |
