The
renowned Baloch poetess, writer,
thinker and a lecturer at the
Sardar Bahadur Khan Women’s University
(SKB) Nusheen Qambrani was attacked
by unidentified armed militants
at her residence in Quetta on
the night of July 31, reported
Daily Times. According
to the Police, unidentified armed
militants entered Qambrani’s house
and threatened to kill her and
kidnap her daughter. The armed
men also beat up her servant.
Qambrani
told the media that for the last
four days unidentified men, in
a car without a number plate,
kept coming to her house. “They
threatened my watchman and family
and said they wanted to kill me,”
she said, adding that she did
not know who they were and what
they wanted. “I have received
such threats many times before
from these people,” she disclosed.
She appealed to the Government
to take notice of harassment.
Separately,
Bolan Medical College (BMC) senior
psychologist Doctor Ghulam Rasool
Kakar was abducted on August 1
from Brewery Road Quetta by unidentified
armed militants. Station House
Officer (SHO) Azhar Shah said
that Doctor Ghulam Rasool was
on his way home from his private
hospital when unidentified armed
men in a car intercepted him on
Brewery Road and took him hostage
at gunpoint.
Elsewhere,
two men were abducted by unidentified
armed militants in Wadh area of
Khuzdar District. |
