Two Pakistan Air Force personnel injured in bomb blast in NWFP

According to Dawn, two personnel of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF) and a child accompanying them were injured when a bomb exploded near their vehicle on the Kohat Road in Peshawar, capital of the North West Frontier Province (NWFP) on August 6-morning. The Bhana Manri police said the explosive device had been planted on the structure of under-construction shops along the main road, which exploded when the PAF vehicle was passing by the place.

Security forces in the Bannu district recovered 20 kilograms of explosives from an oil tanker plying between Dara Adam Khel and Mir Ali town in North Waziristan on August 6, according to Daily Times. Two persons, including the driver of the oil tanker, were arrested.

Elsewhere in the province, Police on August 6-morning seized three rocket-propelled grenades, one anti-aircraft gun and other arms and ammunition from a house in the Danna area of Mansehra district, Dawn reported.
