that neighbouring country
is smuggling Fake Indian
Currency Notes (FICN)
into our territory,
reports Greater Kashmir.
“Our neighbouring
country is smuggling
fake currency into our
territory to fund terrorism
related activities.
Of late smuggling of
counterfeited currency
into our domain has
been giving tough time
to our security agencies.
It is a threat to our
National Security as
well,” Vohra said. “Hawala
transactions, circulation
of fake Indian currency
notes are tactics being
adopted by unscrupulous
elements to fund terrorist
network in Jammu and
Kashmir,” he added.
The Governor further
said that unlawful funds
which accrue from “smuggling,
fake currency, black
money and hawala
transactions are utilized
by terrorists to unleash
terror, create security
problems and spread
illegal activities throughout
the country.
