suspect Taufique Alam, who was
wanted in connection with the
2008 serial bomb blasts in Ahmedabad
District of Gujarat, was arrested
by the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS)
of Bihar Police from the Civil
Lines Police Station area in Gaya
District on September 14 (today),
reports The Times of India.
Patna zone Inspector General (IG)
of Police, Nayyar Hasnain Khan
said one of his associates, who
had given shelter to Taufique
at his residence in Civil Lines
area, was also arrested. IG, Khan
said Gujarat ATS has also been
informed about Taufique’s arrest.
The Ahmedabad serial bomb blasts
on July 27, 2008, had left 29
persons dead and 88 others injured.
