On May 6, the Taliban's Supreme Court confirmed the conviction and flogging of three civilians on charges of desecration, theft, and insult, with two receiving 30 lashes each and the third receiving 20 lashes in Ahmadaba District of Paktiya Province, reports Afghanistan International.
Taliban detained at least 14 civilians in Balkh Ab District of Sar-e-Pul Province, reports Afghanistan International on May 6. According to local sources, residents who complained about Taliban discrimination and sympathized with resistance movements were allegedly surveilled by Taliban spies. Subsequently, Taliban forces conducted raids in three villages, detaining 14 civilians, while reports suggest locals are being coerced into paying cash instead of surrendering weapons.
On May 6, the Bandarban Court sentenced a cadre of the Kuki-Chin National Front (KCNF), identified as Khowai Bom (71), to jail following his arrest in Ruma Upazila (Sub-District) in Bandarban District of Chittagong Division on May 5, reports Dhaka Tribune. Bishwajit Singh, the GRO of Bandarban Court, confirmed that Khowai Bom was jailed in connection with the Sonali Bank robbery case.
On May 5, two Rohingyas identified as Ayat Ullah and Rafiq were arrested with arms and ammunition in a raid by the 8-Armed Police Battalion (APBn) in front of the Open Friendship Learning Center in Palangkhali Tajima in Ukhiya Upazila (Sub-District) in Cox’s Bazar District of Chittagong Division, reports Daily Bangladesh. Recoveries include one-shooter gun and three rounds of bullets.
On May 7 (today) an exchange of fire between Security Forces (SFs) and terrorists started in the Redwani Pine area in the Kulgam District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Greater Kashmir. No killing has been reported.
On May 5, the Police recovered suspected explosives, and claymore mines were reportedly dumped by the Communist Party of India-Maoist (CPI-Maoist) in the Tipagad area in Gadchiroli District of Maharashtra, reports pragativadi.com. The Gadchiroli Police intercepted CPI-Maoist plans to carry out Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attacks during Lok Sabha (Lower House of the Indian Parliament) Elections 2024 and carried out area dominance, during which the teams discovered six pressure cookers filled with explosives and detonators, along with three claymore pipes loaded with explosives and shrapnel, gunpowder, medicines, and blankets. Subsequently, a team comprising two Bomb Detection and Disposal Squads (BDDS), one unit of C60, and one Quick Action Team (QAT) of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) safely destroyed the cache of weapons.

The National Investigation Agency (NIA) Court in New Delhi, on May 6, pronounced varying jail sentences against five persons in a case relating to a conspiracy by Islamic State-Khorasan Province (IS-KP) group to promote the ideology of Islamic State (IS) and spread terror through acts of violence in India, reports NIA. The accused persons have been identified as Sadiya, Nabeel Siddiqui Khatri,Jahanazaib Sami Wani, Hina Bashir Beigh and Abdullah Basith. The NIA had on July 12, 2020 arrested Sadiya along with another Pune resident Nabeel Siddiqui Khatri in the terror case. According to the NIA, Sadiya and Nabeel were found to have links with a Kashmiri couple Jahanazaib Sami Wani and his wife Hina Bashir Beigh, who were arrested initially by the Delhi Police Special Cell on March 8, 2020 for their affiliation to IS-KP. NIA re-registered the case against Wani and Beigh on March 20, 2020.During the course of the investigation, Abdullah Basith, who was arrested in another IS terror offence, was also named as an accused in the IS-KP case as he was found to be associated with Wani and Beigh. The NIA then arrested Abdur Rahman, alias Dr Brave, in August 2020.
At least five terrorists were killed in an intelligence based operation along the border of South Waziristan in Zhob District of Balochistan on May 6, reports The Khorasan Diary. Three of them were identified from the Wazirstan and intended to cross into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
Two Baloch men, identified as Muslim Rasheed and Shahnawaz, were subjected to enforced disappearances by Security Forces (SFs) in Sandum Gishkur area of Awaran District of Balochistan on May 5, reports The Balochistan Post.
A water tanker driver who was supplying water to the government, was shot dead in Mir Ali area of North Waziristan District in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on May 6, reports The Khorasan Diary. The Hafiz Gul Bahadur group of Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed the responsibility of the attack.
