On March 26-27, eight civilians, including four children and two shepherds, were abducted from the Bodibonya area and Kombonia hilly area in the Whykong Union of Teknaf Upazila (Sub-District) of Cox’s Bazar District in Chittagong Division, reports The Daily Star. Noor Ahmed Anwari, UP Chairman of Whykong Union, confirmed it and said that six civilians named Junaid, Mohammad Noor, Shakil, Farid Alam, Aktar, and Nazir Hossain were abducted from Bodibonya area, while two shepherds, Ali Ahmed, and Noor Mohammad, were abducted from the Kombonia hilly area. However, Muhammad Osman Gani, Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of Teknaf Model Police Station, said they have received no complaints regardingthese incidents of abduction.

On March 27, four suspected cadres of Kangleipak Communist Party -Noyon faction (KCP-N) were arrested along with weapons at Meitei Lamkhai, Langthabal near Lilong bridge in Imphal West District of Manipur, reports Northeast Now. The arrested cadres were identified as Wahengbam Mathoi Singh (32), Sorenshangbam Bungcha Singh (47), Thongam Joynanda Singh (49) and Ak Sanjoy (34). The accused were involved in the transportation of arms and ammunition as well as extortion activities for KCP-N in the valley areas. One pistol and two grenades were recovered from them.
On March 27, Manipur Police arrested four persons identified as Salam Rameshwor Singh, Tongbram Gyanjit Singh, Pukhrem Ingocha Singh, and Thokchom Temba, following seizure of huge cache of arms, ammunition and explosives in Bishnupur District, reports India TodayNE. A significant cache of items, including three self-loading rifles (SLR) along with four empty magazines, twenty live rounds and one Baofeng Walkie Talkie Set were recovered from them.
On March 27, two unidentified suspects were arrested in connection with a low-intensity blast in the vicinity of a hospital in Poonch District of Jammu and Kashmir (J&K), reports Daily Excelsior. Earlier, SATP had reported this incident on March 26.
The Union Ministry of Home Affairs (UMHA) on March 27, issued a notification extending the Armed Forces Special Powers Act (AFSPA) in eight Districts and 21 Police stations across five other Districts of Nagaland after declaring them as disturbed areas under section 3 of the AFSPA, reports ABP News. The act has been extended for a period of six months starting from April 1. The eight Districts where AFSPA has been extended include Dimapur, Niuland, Chumoukedima, Kiphire, Phek, Mon, Noklak, and Peren Districts in Nagaland.
A Levies Risaldar, identified as Hameedullah Tareen was killed, and three other soldiers, Musa Jan, Bilal Khan and Zahoor Agha were injured in an exchange of fire with a suspected criminal gang, in Killi Manzari area of Pishin District in Balochistan on March 27, reports Dawn. Security Forces launched an operation after this incident and arrested 24 suspects, including proclaimed offenders, and recovered stolen items, including motorcycles and illegal arms.
On March 26, Sri Lanka's Terrorism Investigation Department (TID) arrested a former Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam (LTTE) cadre and activist, identified as Selvanayagam Aravinthan for suspectedly supporting LTTE in Colombo District of Western Province, reports Tamil Guardian. Following the second summons, he went to the TID in Colombo, where he was arrested.
