According to The News, dozens of alleged supporters of Nawab Akbar Bugti laid down their arms on April 8 and surrendered to authorities in Balochistan. The 40 men claimed they had been fighting security forces and damaging gas facilities in the province on the orders of Nawab Akbar Bugti, said Abdul Samad Lasi, the district coordination officer of Dera Bugti district.
