APHC-M chairman Mirwaiz Omar Farooq met with chiefs of LeT and HM in December 2012 in Pakistan. The report said that the duo had told the delegation that armed militancy would revive in the Valley in 2014.

Police arrested a HM militant, Feroz Ahmed, from Maltang Dalgate in Jawahar Nagar locality of Srinagar (Srinagar District). Arms and ammunition was recovered from his possession.

Sources indicated that there are around 6 trained active militants of HM outfit are operating in Sopore area of Baramulla District. These militants are being supervised by their top 'commander' Qayoom Najar.

DGP Ashok Prasad claimed that April 26, 2013, Haigam (Baramulla District) ambush in which four J&K Police personnel were shot dead was carried by a local group of militants belonging to HM outfit.

HM Spokesman Baleeg-u-Din claimed responsibility for the attack on Police Officer in Rajpora Chowk of Pulwama town.

SFs killed two HM militants, identified as Aqib Rashid and Bilal Ahmad at Goshbugh village in Pattan area of Baramulla District.

Police and Army in a joint operation arrested a top HM militant from Sopore area of Baramulla District.

Five HM militants, including a top commander, identified as Nisar Ahmad Dar alias Usman, were arrested by J&K Police from Sopore town in Baramulla District.

HM operative Talib Lali was sent to judicial custody till October 23, 2013, by a trial court in Jammu and Kashmir after Police submitted that he wasn't required for further custodial interrogation.

A top commander of HM, identified as Junaid, was arrested by SFs from Bandipora town of Bandipora District.

Chairman of UJC and 'supreme commander' of HM Syed Salahuddin appreciated recent statements of Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Kashmir issue. Salahuddin said: "Pakistan is a basic party to Kashmir case. One third of the territory of Jammu and Kashmir and its population are under its command and control. So Pakistan is legally, constitutionally and morally bound support Kashmiris."

The militant outfits, whose militants were being trained at the camp, included LeT, JeM, Al Badr and HM. Sources pointed out that though the militant commanders of these four outfits didn't have much co-ordination, they have joined hands to train the militants following dwindling strength of their cadre and repeated calls from their commanders operating in Jammu and Kashmir for infiltration of the militants to sustain terrorism.
