Jaisalmer-Ganganagar area, Pakistan

There has been information that a new alliance has been made between JeM and Babbar Khalsa at Rahim Yar Khan District of Punjab Province in Pakistan.

Investigation and some of the intercepts suggested that some of the material used by Pakistan Army in areas in Siachen glacier had been passed on to terror groups like LeT and JeM.

Detailed MI report says that attackers on Indian Patrol included members of ISI-backed jihadi terror outfits LeT and JeM.

Pakistan occupied Kashmir

The conspiracy of twin blasts in Hyderabad on February 21 was hatched in a joint meeting of terror outfits on February 9 and February 10, which was attended by groups like LeT, JeM and HM.

JeM allegedly threatened to blow up major railway stations and places of religious and tourist interest in Uttarakhand in retaliation to the hanging of Parliament attack convict Afzal Guru.

One OGW of JeM was arrested in a case related to grenade attack on a bunker in General Bus Stand Kupwara (Kupwara District) on November 1, 2011.

Sopore, Baramulla District, J&K

Fahad Ullah was coordinator between Pakistan based LeT commander Hanzullah and Qari Yasir of JeM & LeT divisional commander, Qasim.

India wants Pakistan to hold a high-level investigation into the allegations that the jail attack on late Indian spy and prisoner Sarabjit Singh was planned in advance by some LeT linked elements to avenge the hanging of LeT's Ajmal Kasab and JeM's Afzal Guru by the Indian government.

High Court upheld a trial court order sentencing three JeM terrorists Noor Mohammad Tantre, Pervaiz Ahmed Mir, and Faroz Ahmed Bhat to life imprisonment under the POTA for plotting a terror attack in Delhi, while reducing life terms of two other accused Atiq-uz-Zama and Raees-uz-Zama to 11-year jail.

A 'divisional commander' of JeM, identified as Altaf Baba alias Gazi Baba, was shot dead and an Army trooper sustained injuries in a cordon and search operation.

UMHA said, "Jehadi tanzeems in Pakistan with affiliation to LeT, JeM and IM have set up channels for transfer of funds from Pakistan to India via Gulf and Nepal, besides using Western Union Money Transfer and Hawala channel. Moreover, ex-SIMI cadres and similar militant elements based in Gulf have also been observed collecting money for causing destruction in India."

The second holed up militant at the encounter site identified as Mohammad Abbas Nengroo, 'battalion commander' of JeM was shot dead by SFs.

At least six Police personnel were injured when their vehicle turned turtle after coming under heavy stone pelting by 'protesters' protesting against the killings of the JeM militants.

Targeted attacks on the Police, CAPFs and Army in J&K is a result of increased collaboration between HM and various other militant outfits like JeM, LeT and Al Badr, says security agencies.

Garewad / Lolab Valley / Kupwara

Top JeM militant, identified as Qari Yasir, was shot dead in an encounter with the SFs at Garewad village in the Lolab Valley of Kupwara District.

Jammu and Kashmir

Intelligence inputs revealed that the militants of three major outfits LeT, HM and JeM have joined hands for making combined efforts to intrude into the Indian side from the LoC.

JeM 'zonal commander', identified as Atiqur Rehman alias Khan Baba, was killed by J&K Police and Army in an encounter at Anderbough Diver area of Lolab Valley in Kupwara District.

Baramulla

SFs arrested a JeM militant, identified as Javed Ahmad Dar and claimed that he was tasked to re-activate the militancy in Baramulla District.

Jammu and Kashmir

The militant outfits, whose militants were being trained at the camp, included LeT, JeM, Al Badr and HM. Sources pointed out that though the militant commanders of these four outfits didn't have much co-ordination, they have joined hands to train the militants following dwindling strength of their cadre and repeated calls from their commanders operating in Jammu and Kashmir for infiltration of the militants to sustain terrorism.

Lolab / Kupwara

At least one militant was killed after Army had a brief gun battle with a group of militants in Lolab forests of Kupwara District. One AK-47 rifle, three AK magazines, five hand grenades and one night vision device were recovered from him. Sources said that the militant belonged to JeM militant outfit and no document was recovered from his possession.

JeM has warned that it will eliminate Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi if he becomes Prime Minister of India.

Tral / Pulwama

Three militants of JeM including a top commander slipped out of security cordon in Tral area of Pulwama District.
