SFs launched a massive operation in Cherhar
forests of Marble area in Sopore town of Baramula District after
receiving information about the presence of a group of militants
in the forests. Sources said that acting on information about
the presence of a group of JeM militants, Army's 27 Rashtriya
Rifles (RR) and SOG of Jammu and Kashmir Police cordoned off
the area.

on an Army Colonel's vehicle in the Khoshipora forests of Baramulla
District. The officer, however, escaped unhurt. Though the Army
fired back, the militants managed to escape. Army subsequently,

the area.
