Police IRP 12th battalion was shot dead by LeT militants in Hassanporabagh

the militants barged into Mir's house at Hassanporabagh last night
and fired upon him from a point blank range killing him on the
spot. He said that the militants managed to escape after carrying

Eight LeT militants were arrested by the SFs in
North Kashmir. Eight UBGL, five Chinese grenades and 100 AK-47
rounds have been seized from them. Police in Sopore (in Baramulla
District), with the help of 30 Rashtriya Rifles, have busted a
recruitment module of LeT. Three of them Rayees Ahmad Bhat, Sajad
Ahmad Bhat and Shabir Ahmad Kumar are residents of Harwan, Sopore.
While remaining five, Lateef Ahmad Gujar, Zubair Ahmad Gujar,
Mohammad Qasim Gujar, Mohammad Iqbal Gujar and Hakim Din Gujar

District. After completing the operation, Army, BSF and Police

before allowing the people into their houses. Bodies of all four
slain militants, who were part of suicide squad of LeT outfit
were recovered from the village. Army recovered four AK-47 rifles,
one pistol, one IED, one disposal rocket launcher, two fired disposable
rocket launcher cases, three radio sets, hand grenades and a large
quantity of AK ammunition.
