Imphal East commandos arrested a militant of KCP-MC identified as identified as Haokhothang Sitlhou from Uripok Cheirap Court gate in Imphal East. One extortion letter demanding INR 150000 from the Khuman Lampak Auto-Rickshaw Service Association and other incriminating articles were recovered from him.

Imphal East

A KCP militant, identified as Mohammed Riyaz Khan alias Boycha was arrested by SFs from an unidentified location in Imphal East. One .32 pistol loaded with two rounds, one empty magazine and three extortion notes of KCP were recovered from him.

Kwakeithel Akham Leikai / Imphal West

KCP militant Khomdram Birjit Singh alias Momo alias Ibungo was arrested from Kwakeithel Akham Leikai area in Imphal West.

Haobam Marak Irom Leikai/Imphal West

In a follow up action SFs arrested another KCP militant Soibam (O) Rita Devi from Haobam Marak Irom Leikai from Imphal West.

Two Manipuri residents, identified as Napoleon Thockchom and Nangthanbam Anand have been convicted under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act by a Delhi court for being members of KCP.

Governor of Manipur, KK Paul had stated that militant organisations, including URF have signed MoU with State Government and GoI.

URF militant, identified as 'private' Ningthoujam Ramesh Singh was arrested from general area of Tairenpokpi in Imphal West. A Lathode gun was recovered from him.

A combined team of Imphal East commandos and AR arrested a militant identified as Keithellakpam Napoleon Meitei alias Araba alias Herojit of KCP-MC from an unidentified location.

Combined SF team arrested a militant of KCP-Noyon identified as Kshetrimayum Shanta Singh alias Ingo from an unspecified location in Imphal East. Investigation revealed that he had extorted INR 15000 from a forest employee of Kundongbam in Thoubal

Imphal West District Police Commandos including Women Police conducted frisking and checking and arrested a women militant of KCP- Taibang Nganba, identified as Salam Ningol Ayekpam.

A combined team of AR and Thoubal District Police arrested a KCP-MC identified as Naorem Jiban alias Jayanta from Chairen Mayai Leikai in Thoubal.

KCP-MC enforced an indefinite ban on all Catholic Schools from functioning in Manipur, for 'failing to conform to the sincere proposal of the outfit and the public'.

Two KNF-N militants, Limjapao Kipgen alias Papao and Thangthinglal Haokip alias Lalboi alias Addy were arrested from New Checkon in Imphal East District. Sources said that both militants were working under 'commander in chief' Jems of KNF-N and they have extorted money from the general public.

One militant of KCP-Noyon, KCP- Taibang Nganba were arrested in March.

KCP-MC in a press release said under its education campaign `operation mangal`�, has requested all private schools in the state to reserve 15 percent seats for underprivileged students, and these students to be given free education.

Contending that catholic mission schools including Don Bosco, St Joseph, Nairmala Bas, Little Flower, Secret Heart and Catholic School in the state are all based on Reli-care system devoid of organizational hierarchy,KCP-MC stated that the outfit will refer certificates and degrees fetched from diluted schools which do not comply norms and criteria of CBSE as Diluted Educational Surplus Value.

KCP militant identified as Loitongbam Rojen alias Rishikanta was arrested from Iroisemba in Imphal West District.

KCP-MC observed its 35th 'raising day' on April 14, according to a press statement of the outfit signed by its commander in chief Nongdrenkhomba.

At least five civilians were injured when an IED exploded near 1st Gate of the Manipur University in Imphal West. IED exploded a little distance from Catholic School Canchipur. By an order issued on April 21, all the catholic schools were reopened. Earlier the schools were shut down due to threats from KCP-MC.

Imphal East

Imphal East District Police Commandos arrested a KCP militant identified as Sangomshumbam Godfather alias Khan, from an unspecified location. Investigation revealed that he had extorted huge amount of money.

Women militant of KCP-Maoist identified as Hemam Priyaluxmi alias Ninghannganbi was arrested from Moirang Hemam Leikai in Bishnupur

Two labourers identified as Abung and Premanand were killed by an unidentified militant group during 'interrogation'. Three civilians including a twelve year old student , identified as Konthoujam Bishal were reportedly missing since past 15 days. In an audio recording later given to the relatives of the child, he allegedly confessed that he was with KCP.

Imphal West

Leader of KCP-MTF, Thoubawas arrested from Imphal West. In a follow up action, the accomplice, identified as Oinam Tikendrajit alias Tiken was arrested from his residence at Samurou Maning Leikai in Imphal West.

Bishnupur Mamang Leikai/ Bishnupur

KCP- Poirei militant identified as Luwangbam Iboyaima was arrested from Bishnupur Mamang Leikai in Bishnupur District. SFs on the same day arrested another militant of KCP-Poirei, identified as Taorem Gourashyam alias Ranjit from Oinam bazar in Bishnupur.

A women militant of KCP-Poirei identified as Sorokhaibam Jamini Devi was arrested near the gate of Cheirap Court, Uripok in Imphal West.

Khabeisoi/Imphal East

KCP-Noyon militant identified as Yumkhaibam Nazir Hussain alias Agha was arrested from Khabeisoi in Imphal East.

between Paralong and Charong/Chandel

Militants ambushed a military convoy of 6 Dogra Regiment of the Indian Army killing at least 18 Army personnel and injured 11 others, at a place between Paralong and Charong villages in Chandel. In a joint statement issued by NSCN-K, KYKL and KCP claimed responsibility that the "combined team of 'Elite Strike Unit' of 'Naga Army', KYKL and KCP assaulted five vehicle convoy of 6thDogra regiment.

Although, some intelligence inputs last month suggested that outfits like NSCN-K, KYKL and KCP were planning a major strike but the dots could not be connected in time.

According to the initial plan, the UNLFW was supposed to be the common platform of all NE militant outfits, including CorCom. CorCom hasn't joined the UNLFW but Khaplang managed to get on board the two CorCom groups KYKL and KCP for June 4 ambush.

A militant of KCP-Maramba faction identified as Sanoubam Premchandra Singh was found dead inside the designated camp at Loitang Khunou in Imphal West. Cause of death has not been ascertained

A militant of KCP-MC identified as Mayanglambam Ibomcha alias Khamba alias Nifujee was arrested in Thoubal District.

Khabeisoi/ Imphal East

SFs arrested a militant of KCP-Noyon identified as 'private' Naobi alias Ngamba, from Khabeisoi in Imphal East .

Khurai/Imphal East

A KCP-Noyon militant identified as 'private' Sorokhaibam Etra alias Lakpa was arrested from Khurai in Imphal East. A source stated that he had received military training at Namphalong in Myanmar.

Nambol Kongkham Makha Leikai/Bishnupur

A KCP-Noyon militant identified as Leishangthem Ibohal Meetei alias Loya was arrested at Nambol Kongkham Makha Leikai in Bishnupur.

Samurou/ Imphal West

KCP militant identified as Ng Damen was arrested from Samurou in Imphal West District. A 9 mm pistol along with two live rounds was recovered from him.

Sagolmang/Imphal East

SFs arrested KCP militant Herojit alias Tomba alias Nabha from Sagolmang in Imphal East District.

Pangei / Imphal East

Based on specific intelligence regarding movement of an UG cadre, troops of AR established a vehicle check post at Pangei in Imphal East District and arrested one KCP cadre, identified as SS Cpl Sinah alias Baicha. Later, he revealed that he was actively involved in extortion related activities. MMK 200 was also recovered from his possession.

Manipur

AR in coordination with Police forces of Manipur killed three militants, arrested 40 UG cadres and three OGW and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition in last 45 days in the state, an AR release said. During the counter insurgency operation, from August 1 to September 15 last, three cadre of PLA were killed, the AR release said. Seven cadres of UNLF, seven cadres of NSCN-K, five cadres of PREPAK-Pro, six cadres of PREPAK, four cadres of PLA, eight cadres of KYKL, one cadre of ZUF, one cadre of KCP, one cadre of Vice-Chairman faction of PREPAK (PREPAK-VC) and three 'overground' cadres of UNLF, PREPAK and KYKL each were arrested, the release added. The release further said arms and ammunition including one AK-47 rifle, two 7.62 mm A-1 Rifle, one 9 mm carbine machine gun, four 9 mm pistol, one lathod gun with three lathod shells, one country made 12 bore single barrel rifle, 8 IEDs, two Chinese hand grenades and other assorted ammunition were recovered.

Khangabok Lamlong bazar / Thoubal District

District Police Commandos, conducted frisking and checking at Khangabok Lamlong bazar in Thoubal District and arrested one active worker of KCP-MC, identified as Thokchom Subol Meitei (57) of Khangabok Lamlong Part III. Investigation revealed that he was working in the finance section of the organisation.

Troops of 45 AR of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of headquarters of IGAR-S established a vehicle check post in Pangei area in Imphal East and arrested two NRFM cadres, identified as Ningthoujam Jibam Meitei alias Punshiba (40) of Laphupat Tera Ningolkhong Mapal, Mayang Imphal under Waikhong Police Station and Houbijam Ibomcha alias Angou (31) of Lamsang Khunou village. One identity card of CID (Special Branch), Government of Manipur, Identity Card No 009 forged by KCP-NK faction, eight out pass cards of KCP-MC, ten extortion notes of NRFM and a two wheeler (Activa) bearing Registration Number MN 01U 3136 were recovered from their possession, the AR statement said. The arrestees along with the recovered items have been handed over to Heingang Police Station.

KYKL and KCP formed a new alliance called the ASUK with the primary objectives of heralding a united revolutionary movement of WESEA, spread the ideology and principle of egalitarian society and bring unity among all socialists of Kangleipak. A statement signed by KYKL chairman N Oken and KCP president Ksh Laba appealed to all revolutionary groups to support ASUK's campaign to forge unity among all revolutionary groups based on scientific socialism.

Imphal West District

A team of Imphal West District Police commando arrested one active member of KCP, Lamyanba Khuman namely Lourembam Dhiren Meitei alias Susil (40) of Touthong Khunou Lamsang while conducting search operation at Uripok Cheirap Court area. A statement issued by the PRO of Police Dept said, investigation revealed that he had demanded INR 50,000 from BK Enterprises, Nagamapal in the name of KCP.

Mayang Langjing / Imphal West District

Troops of Jwalamukhi Battalion of Senapati Brigade under Red Shield Division arrested a militant of the KCP-N, identified as Inao alias Jiten (46) of Khagempali Huidrom Leikai, in an operation carried out from Mayang Langjing in Imphal West District. Jiten, reportedly involved in extorting money and nefarious activities, was arrested along with a demand letter of KCP, one mobile and two SIM cards.

Waikhong bazar area / Thoubal District

A combined team of District Police commando Thoubal and 22 AR arrested one active over ground worker of KCP, identified as Yumnam Homenkumar Singh alias Inao (42) of Langmeidong Maning Leikai, while conducting frisking and checking in Waikhong bazar area in Thoubal District.

Troops of 11 AR of 26 Sector AR under the aegis of headquarters of IGAR-S arrested one woman over ground worker of KCP-N from Moreh in Chandel District. The arrestee has been identified as Shamurailatpam Premila (42) of Bamon Leikai in Thangapat in Thoubal District. Two demand letters of KCP-N demanding extortion of INR 300,000 were recovered from her possession.

The KCP-MC Liberation, endorsing the decision taken by the MCPM to impose a ban on the upcoming `Sangai Festival` said that it would extend full co-operation to ensure that the ban is effective.

SFs arrested two cadres of KCP-P, identified as Laishram Inao Singh alias Loya (30) and Konjengbam Amar Singh alias Nanao (30) from Meitram in Wangoi Tehsil of Imphal West District. Investigations revealed that both were involved in extortion of money from general public and business establishments of Imphal area and also involved in threatening the general public by using fire arms and explosives to extort money for party fund, Police said.

Singjamei Chinga Mathak Yumnam Leikai / Imphal West District

A team of District Police commando, Imphal West arrested one over ground cadre of KCP-N, identified as Lourembam Robinson Singh (35) from his residence at Singjamei Chinga Mathak Yumnam Leikai. Investigation revealed that he was earlier arrested in 2010 for being a cadre of PLA and again arrested in 2014 as over ground worker of UNLF.

Imphal West District

Based on reliable information, a team of Imphal West District Police commando conducted frisking and checking in front of the Tampha Hotel in North AOC in Imphal and arrested an active member of KCP-Lamyanba Khuman, identified as Khundrakpam Tomba Singh (46). Investigation revealed that he had served demand letters and threatened the general public to extort money for the said organisation.

Khurai Lamlong area / Imphal East District

A team of the District Police Commando, Imphal East launched a counter insurgency operation in and around Khurai Lamlong area and arrested one active cadre of KCP-MTF, identified as Elangbam Kesho alias Priyo (41), of Lamjao Awang Leikai from the south eastern side of Chairen Thong. Incriminating articles were seized from his possession. Investigation revealed that, he was involved in extortion of money from the general public, private firms and government offices for raising fund of the said organisation.

Patsoi Part-I / Imphal West District

Troops of 12 Bihar Regiment of 9 Sector AR under the aegis of headquarters of IGAR-S along with Patsoi Police launched a joint operation at Patsoi Part-I in Imphal West District and arrested an active cadre of KCP, identified as Taorem Tombisana alias Tan Singh (31) of Patsoi Part-I. He was handed over to Patsoi Police Station.
