Two men, identified as Satender Kumar alias Tinu and Pritam Kumar who had allegedly shot dead the leader of KYKL O Juge Singh alias Wangba Khuman, in New Delhi in 2008 were arrested from Dwarka in New Delhi. During interrogation, Satender Kumar told that he was a transporter involved in illegal trade of sandalwood/red sandalwood and teakwood and in 2007 his truck was captured by members of KYKL in Manipur and its leader O Juge Singh had extorted INR 800000 from him to secure the release of his truck and since then he had a grudge against Juge Singh.

Investigation revealed that both were involved in extortion from public and local leaders.

In a joint statement issued by NSCN-K, KYKL and KCP claimed responsibility that the "combined team of 'Elite Strike Unit' of 'Naga Army', KYKL and KCP assaulted five vehicle convoy of 6thDogra regiment.

Laishram Tondon was arrested and on his revelation, Police recovered seven cakes of RDX IEDs.

AR in coordination with Police forces of Manipur killed three militants, arrested 40 UG cadres and three OGW and recovered huge quantity of arms and ammunition in last 45 days in the state, an AR release said. During the counter insurgency operation, from August 1 to September 15 last, three cadre of PLA were killed, the AR release said. Seven cadres of UNLF, seven cadres of NSCN-K, five cadres of PREPAK-Pro, six cadres of PREPAK, four cadres of PLA, eight cadres of KYKL, one cadre of ZUF, one cadre of KCP, one cadre of Vice-Chairman faction of PREPAK (PREPAK-VC) and three 'overground' cadres of UNLF, PREPAK and KYKL each were arrested, the release added. The release further said arms and ammunition including one AK-47 rifle, two 7.62 mm A-1 Rifle, one 9 mm carbine machine gun, four 9 mm pistol, one lathod gun with three lathod shells, one country made 12 bore single barrel rifle, 8 IEDs, two Chinese hand grenades and other assorted ammunition were recovered.

Troops of the 45 AR of 9 Sector AR and 16 AR of 10 Sector AR under the aegis of headquarters of IGAR-S launched a joint operation in Khabam Lamkhai area near Koirengei in Imphal East District and arrested one KYKL cadre. The arrestee was identified as No 365, Batch No 26, SS Pvt Thoudam Sanathoi alias Momo Singh (23) of Lamsang Tera Urak, according to a statement issued by the PRO of IGAR-S. Singh revealed that he received training in Burma in 2006. Later, he was handed over to the Heingang Police Station.

A press release issued by AR said the militant was identified as Mutum Noren (23) of Nongada village. He had joined KYKL in 2008 and had got training in Bangladesh for 70 days, the AR press release said. The militant was handed over to Lamlai Police Station for further investigation.

The arrestee has been identified as 'sergeant major' Tomba alias Seven Kumar (33) of Itham village in Thoubal District. He has been handed over to Litan Police Station.

A statement signed by KYKL chairman N Oken and KCP president Ksh Laba appealed to all revolutionary groups to support ASUK's campaign to forge unity among all revolutionary groups based on scientific socialism.

He joined the outfit's 30th batch on October 27, 2008. One demand note was recovered from his possession.
