Based on reliable information about the presence
of some KCP cadres in and around Soibam Leikai area, a team of
Imphal East District Police commando conducted search operation,
and arrested two active cadres of KCP-N, identified as Yengkokpam
Ranjan Singh alias Amuba (46) of Top Mayai Leikai and Kshetrimayum
Romesh Singh alias Inaocha (39) of Kongpal Naoroibam Leikai.
Investigation revealed that Romesh was also working for KYKL and
involved in extortion of money from SK Oil nominees of Imphal
East and West Districts.

Nambol Thongkha / Bishnupur District |
A woman cadre of the KYKL, identified as Mayanglangbam
Victoria Devi, was arrested by a combined team of SFs and Manipur
Police at Nambol Thongkha in Bishnupur District. One Chinese-made
hand grenade concealed in a mobile hand set cover box, two mobile
handsets and four SIM cards were recovered from her possession.

DGAR, Lieutenant General Harminderjit Singh Sachdev
said that India and Myanmar have started joint border patrolling
in some stretches of the "unfenced border" between both the countries.
"In some places (joint border patrolling) it has started but not
fully. The patrolling has not started all over, but in some specific
areas. They (Myanmarese Army) also come and we also go there (Myanmar),"
Sachdev said on the sidelines of investiture ceremony of the Assam
Rifles. India has been urging Myanmar to take action against the
rebels which include Manipur-based UNLF, PLA, KYKL, PREPAK; Assam-based
ULFA and the NSCN-K operating from Sagaing division and the Chin
State of Myanmar.

Imphal West District |
Based on specific intelligence regarding movement
of the UG cadres in general area of Wangoi and Samurau of Imphal
West District, a combined team of the 12 Bihar Regiment of 9 Sector
AR under the aegis of headquarters of IGAR-S and Wangoi Police
Commandos under the supervision of 12 Bihar Regiment and ASP,
Imphal West District launched counter insurgency operations in
the area, and arrested six militants of the KYKL. During the operation,
a vehicle check post was established at Oinam and the team arrested
an active cadre and two OWGs of KYKL.

Thoubal District
|
One active member of KNF-N was arrested at Nongbram
village in Thoubal District by Manipur Police commandos and troops
of AR. The cadre was allegedly involved in transportation of arms
and ammunition for the outfit. A member of the MDF faction of
the KYKL was also arrested from Uyumpok in Imphal East District.
Based on the statement of the militant, another KYKL militant
was arrested from Pukhao Laipham in the District. Police said
that the duo was allegedly involved in extorting INR 5,000 from
the teaching staff of primary schools.

Imphal West District Police arrested a KYKL cadre,
identified as Kongkham Domorendro alias Apabi (45) during
an operation at Singjamei Chingamakha in Imphal West District.
Police team recovered one 9mm pistol along with a magazine and
three live rounds and three Chinese hand grenades from his house.
Domorendro revealed that he is an active member of KYKL working
under the command of 'self styled captain' of KYKL, Khundrakpam
Somorjit alias Santa Macha alias Radha of Thanga
Lawai Sabal Leikai. Somorjit is presently staying in Tamu in Myanmar.

A KYKL cadre, identified as Leimapokpam Rajendro
alias Ibungo (31) was also arrested from his house in Imphal
West District. During the spot inquiry, Rajendro stated that he
joined KYKL under one Soibam Arun (45) from his locality and presently
working under the command of 'self styled captain' Khundrakpam
Somorjit alias Santa Macha alias Radha of Thanga
Lawai Sabal Leikai. The source said that Rajendro had admitted
that he along with Domorendro had served demand letters and made
demand calls to various educational institutions, oil pumps and
hotels under the instruction of Somorjit.

Base Camp' at an undisclosed location. Apart from Jiban Singh
Koch( Singha Koch), the self styled 'chairman' of KLO, permanent
founder members of the UNLFW, 'commander-in-chief (c-in-c) 'general'
Kumchok and deputy 'c-in-c' 'lieutenant general' Niki Sumi of
NSCN-K, JK Lijang 'president' PDCK, 'president' B Saoraigwra and
'general secretary' BR Ferengga of NDFB-IKS, Suchin Borok, 'organizing
secretary' of NLFT, 'captain' Litpa Meitei of KYKL, 'captain'
Mani Meitei of KCP were present in the meeting according to the
report.
