The UPF has claimed that Mizoram Police and
IRB from Mizoram entered neighbouring Manipur and conducted
operation at a village called Parvachawm in Churachandpur District
bordering Mizoram leading to arrest of five cadres of HPC-D.
HPC-D is one of the outfits under the umbrella organisation
of UPF which is engaged in the SoO term with the Government
of India and Manipur Government.

Mizoram Police confirmed the arrest of five suspected
militants belonging to the Manipur-based HPC-D in Parvachawm area
(Churachandpur District) of Manipur. The arrested militants were
involved in an explosion near the State Assembly Secretariat on
January 30, said the Police. The arrested militants were later
handed over to the Assam Rifles.

Soldiers from the Army's Red Shield Division arrested
two HPC-D cadres, identified as Laldikshak (27) and Didi Vanlalthrate
(28) during an operation at Tuibong in Churachandpur District,
a defence statement said. Two 7.65 mm pistols and six bullets
were recovered from them; the statement said and added that they
were handed over to Police.
