Nagaland Timeline - Year 1995


January 28

Security Forces neutralise a National Socialist Council of Nagaland-Isak-Muivah (NSCN-IM) camp near Phewami village in Kohima district and recover a huge quantity of ammunition, communication equipment, incriminating documents and ration.

March 5

Rashtriya Rifles personnel kill eight civilians and injure at least 20 others when suspected militants ambushed their convoy party near the BOC point in Kohima town.

March 28

Suspected NSCN-IM cadres kill Kohima Deputy Commissioner, DLV Reddy, and injure his bodyguard near Student Martyr Column in Kohima.

August 4

Eight militants, including two NSCN-IM leaders, are killed near Kohima town.

September 7

Unidentified Naga militants ambush and kill an Assam Rifles captain, three soldiers and a civilian near Dimapur college junction in Dimapur.

December 4
