Forty-two Taliban militants were killed and 17 others were injured following their attack in Farah Province of Afghanistan on October 16, reports Bakhtar News. Mohibullah Moheb, spokesman for Farah Police chief, said, armed Taliban attacked military checkpoints in different parts of Farah and fled the area with heavy casualties. According to Moheb, armed Taliban attacked security checkpoints in Bala Block, Anardara and Darabad Districts of central Farah, in which 42 Taliban, including several of their top ‘commanders’ were killed, and 17 others were injured by Security Forces attack.
