At least 93 persons, including 27 Policemen, were killed and 221 others injured in a suicide blast inside a mosque in Police Lines area of Peshawar, the provincial capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa on January 30, reports Geo News. The suicide attacker was present in the front row during the Zuhr prayer (second prayer offered to God at the noon) when he exploded himself. Sahibzada Noor Ul Amin, Imam of the mosque, was also killed in the blast. Capital City Police Officer, Peshawar (CCPO) Ejaz Khan said close to 300-400 Policemen usually offer prayer at the Zuhr time. The Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) claimed the responsibility for the attack.
