A day after a drug peddler, Davinder Singh was arrested along with 10 Kilograms of heroin smuggled from across the International Border (IB) in Punjab, the Police arrested one of his accomplices identified as Gurlal Singh, a resident of Dhunn Dhaiwala village in Tarn Taran District, from Amritsar District on March 13, reports The Tribune. The Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Vikram Jeet Duggal said that raids were on to nab Gurlal Singh, who had been absconding since the arrest of Davinder Singh. He said the Police were trying to identify his other accomplices. A preliminary investigation indicated that the contraband was pushed by a Pakistan-based smuggler, Kodar Masih of Maniala in Lahore District, the SSP added.
