Further, The Taliban ‘supreme leader’ Hibatullah Akhundzada had appointed Mullah Yaqoob, elder son of Mullah Omar, as ‘head of the military commission’, aimed at further strengthening his hold on all affairs ahead of the key negotiations between the Taliban and Afghan political leaders.
