A shopkeeper, identified as Tawseef Ahmad Ganie who was abducted by militants was found dead in an orchard in Sopore area in Baramulla District on October 6 morning, reports Daily Excelsior. Tawseef Ahmad Ganie, resident of Tujjer Sopore, was abducted by militants from his shop at Unisoo village of Handwara on Kupwara District on October 3. The body of the abducted shopkeeper was recovered from orchards at Harwan village on October 6 morning.
Tawseef Ahmad Ganie was a butcher and had recently uploaded a video on social media sites in which he had criticized the Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM) ‘commander’, Reyaz Naikoo, for threatening the Special Police Officers (SPOs). In the video, Ganie spoke about the threatening of SPOs by Naikoo. He had said in the video that threatening and killing of SPOs is unjustified and blamed Naikoo of killing Kashmiri youth in the past. “Allah will not forgive you (Naikoo)”, he had said in the video.
