People close to former mujahideen leader Abdul Rab Rasoul Sayyaf claimed that President Ghani and Abdullah Abdullah are close to resolving their political differences, reports Khaama News Agency on April 2. There was however no official claim has yet been released. On April 2, discussions were held among Afghan political figures and Abdullah Abdullah seeking to end the post-election tension between Abdullah Abdullah and Ashraf Ghani met at Gulbuddin Hekmatyar's house on April 2.The Presidential Palace has not commented yet but Mohammad Mohaqiq, leader of the Hizb-i-Wahdat political party and a close ally to Abdullah Abdullah, who attended the meeting at Hekmatyar's residence, wrote on his Facebook page that "News will be forthcoming".
