Army on September 15 foiled an infiltration bid in Gurez area of Bandipora District of Jammu and Kashmir, reports Daily Excelsior. Acting on specific Police inputs, suspicious movement was detected by Army along Line of Control (LoC). A contact was established with the militants. After brief exchange of firing, the infiltration bid was successfully foiled. Army recovered war like stores including one assault rifle with four magazines and 135 rounds, three pistols with five magazines and 120 rounds, one GPS, one cortex (4m) and four rucksacks.
The Border Security Force (BSF) on September 15 foiled an infiltration bid by five heavily-armed terrorists along the International Border [IB] in Samba District of Jammu and Kashmir, reports Daily Excelsior. The terrorists fled back to the Pakistani side after being confronted by the BSF, an unnamed spokesman said. “The area was searched but nothing was recovered as the terrorists could not cross the IB,” the spokesperson added.
