Army’s counter-terrorism operation in the Nar Khas Forest area of Poonch District in Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) continued in the morning of October 22 (Today), reports Daily Excelsior. As the operation progresses in the Poonch District, Army’s Special Forces have been deployed to search and target small groups of terrorists hiding in the thick forests. On October 21-evening, Army sources said, “As per the ground assessment, there may be two to four terrorists operating in small groups. Forces are moving carefully inside the dense forest areas to hunt them down.”
Meanwhile, National Investigation Agency (NIA) on October 22 (today) conducted searches at multiple locations in J&K in connection with the terrorism conspiracy case, reports Daily Excelsior. As per the agency, cadres of various proscribed terror outfits like Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al Badr and similar other outfits and their affiliates including the Resistance Front (TRF), People Against Fascist Forces (PAFF) are involved in a conspiracy to carry out violent acts in Jammu and Kashmir and other major cities of the country.
