On February 18, the Independent Election Commission (IEC), announced President Ashraf Ghani as winner of Afghanistan’s Presidential election, reports Tolo News. The final results of the election, according to the IEC, shows that President Ashraf Ghani has the highest secured 923,592 votes (50.6 per cent) of the total, followed by Chief Executive (CE) Abdullah Abdullah who secured 720,841 votes (39.52 per cent) of the total votes. The Presidential elections were held on September 28, 2019.
